Henri has an incredibly 'colourful' past, heres a little about him...
With an interest in painting and drawing since early childhood, Henri was destined to work in a visual field.
He started breakdancing in 1984 and won 3rd prize in the National Finnish Breakdancing Championship contest of 1985. and got to know Hip Hop hobbyists of Helsinki and with that became a graffiti artist.
He joined the army in 1991.
After the army Henri started working on decorative paintings and guildings in his father's building restoration company. He went on to start his own company which in turn led to him developing skills for creating digital images.
He also developed a computer programme to make stencils from original fragments (a notable work was restoring the guilded crosses of Helsinki cathedral in the Mid 90's.)
He created a hand painted renovation cover to decorate Helsinki City hall while it was under renovation, the Finnish society of aestethics gave it an "aestethic achievement of the year" award.
Henri participated in making music videos and short films through the late 90's and early 00's.
In the early 2000's he got more and more involved in commercial productions (in addition to artistic short films), which eventually led him towards being a dedicated Colourist.
Between 2008-2012 he was a partner in the post-production company "Talvi Digital”.
In the late 2000's and early 2010's he gained a real reputation as a Colourist and has graded hundreds of commercials, feature films and short films.
Since 2012 Henri has worked on more than 400 productions, mostly commercials.
He is the regular Colourist to Directors which include Pete Riski @ Rattling Stick and Vesa Manninen.
As you can tell, Henri is quite a unique talent and we are very excited to step into the grading world with such an experienced and skilled pair of eyes!
