Cherry Cherry opens Long Form department in 2019

Cherry Cherry expands into Long Form for 2019.

Known for its high quality VFX in TVC post-production, independent post house Cherry Cherry begins 2019 in a true transformative manner.  Creating a Long Form department has been on the agenda for a while, ever since Gavin Hay took the mantle in early 2018 as CEO.  Gavin Hay (MD, Brighter Pictures/Endemol) is known for his rich history in TV production stretching back decades and it has been an active plan of his to bring the talents of Cherry Cherry into this world.  Having recently completed work on Sky One drama ‘A Discovery of Witches’ last year, 2019 is shaping up to be a successful year for the department

Hitting the ground running, Cherry Cherry has secured two upcoming BBC dramas which will be airing this year.

Creative Director Hugo Saunders: “We are really excited to start work on projects like this, which allows us to bring our expertise in VFX from the commercials side into our new department.  It is a natural progression for us, spearheaded by Gavin and reflects the industry need for flexibility to work in all aspects of post-production.”

Cherry Cherry is proud to announce it has started work as sole VFX vendor, including on-site VFX supervision for ‘The Mallorca Files’, a 10 episode police drama series for the BBC, set on Mallorca. It is a co-production between Cosmopolitan Pictures / Clerkenwell Films.

Also on the agenda in early 2019 with RED productions is the VFX for the upcoming new series of "Trust Me" for BBC Scotland. With the success of the first season, the second seasons shooting is well underway and Cherry Cherry are looking forward getting to work on this upcoming series.
